This is one of the easiest braiding hairs to manage and with proper care, it can outlast many other synthetic styles.
If handled right, it can be reused multiple times without losing softness, shine, or structure.
1. Wear a Bonnet Every Night
Let’s be clear: frizz = old-looking braids.
A satin bonnet helps maintain that fresh look and keeps the hair fibers from tangling or puffing up while you sleep.
2. Do Absolutely Nothing
Sounds strange? That’s because it is but it works.
Let the hair be. Focus instead on caring for your scalp underneath.
The less you touch, the longer it lasts.
3. Oil Lightly 1 to 2 Times Weekly
Oil the scalp(not the braids) to Maintain a healthy scalp and your braids once a week.
No heavy greasing. A little goes a long way.
4. Wearing for 4+ Weeks? Wash While Installed
If you’ll be rocking the style beyond four weeks, wash your braids gently while still installed.
Use lukewarm water, mild shampoo, and focus on the scalp to avoid product buildup.
5. Snip Ends if Needed
If you're not super patient during takedown, snipping the ends can speed things up.
Yes, you might lose a little hair but not enough to ruin your bundles.
6. Detangle & Brush Thoroughly
Once uninstalled, brush the hair until your fingers glide through without any knots or tangles.
Be gentle. Start from the ends and work your way up.
7. Wash Properly
Soak the hair in warm water + mild shampoo + a splash of white vinegar.
Swish gently don’t scrub.
Rinse and air dry flat. No blow dryers.
8. Store It Right
Once dry:
Do a loose two-strand twist or bind gently with a rubber band
Store in a breathable bag until your next install
