ABOUT OUR FOUNDER

My name is Ovieyin  Ogbapu (pronounced O-viay-yin Uh-gba-pu), and I am the founder of Tres Belle Hair.

As a biomedical laboratory scientist by training, I spent years studying the human body, understanding the intricacies of biology, and developing a deep appreciation for the science behind health and wellness. But beyond the lab coat and microscopes, I carried a personal frustration — one that deeply affected my confidence, comfort, and self-expression: severe scalp irritation from braiding hair.

Like many women, I loved protective styles. But each time I braided my hair, I was met with unbearable itchiness and inflammation a reaction to the synthetic fibers widely used in the market. Living in Nigeria, finding safe, hypoallergenic options was nearly impossible. And the few available options felt clinical, boring, and lacking in the beauty and variety we deserve.

I knew there had to be a better way.

So I began my journey combining my scientific background with a passion for beauty to create hypoallergenic fibers that are not only gentle on the scalp but also stylish, textured, and full of personality. What began as a personal solution quickly grew into a calling: to serve women like me who were tired of choosing between their health and their hair.

Tres Belle Hair was born from this mission. Today, I personally oversee every strand that leaves our hands  made-to-order, thoughtfully designed, and created to celebrate comfort, elegance, and confidence.

I’m proud to bring innovation into an industry that felt stagnant and to offer women, especially across Nigeria, the USA, the UK, and Canada, a brand that truly understands what it means to feel beautiful  inside and out.
